Today we won best overall team at the Oceana Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) competitions are events where practitioners of the martial art compete against each other to demonstrate their skills and abilities. These competitions can take many forms, but most commonly involve grappling matches between two competitors, with the goal of submitting or pinning the opponent.

BJJ competitions are typically organized into weight classes and skill levels, so that competitors are matched against opponents of similar size and ability. They are also often divided by gender, age, and belt rank. The most common belt ranks in BJJ are white, blue, purple, brown, and black.

Some of the most prestigious BJJ competitions include the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship (also known as the Mundials), the Pan-American Championship, and the European Championship. There are also many local and regional competitions held throughout the world, providing opportunities for practitioners of all levels to compete and test their skills.

Competing in BJJ can be a great way to challenge oneself, improve one’s skills, and meet other practitioners from around the world. It can also be a rewarding experience to test oneself against others in a controlled and safe environment, and to push oneself to improve and grow as a martial artist.
