AFBJJ NSW stands for Australian Federation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu New South Wales. It is an organization that promotes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) in New South Wales, Australia. The organization was established in 2002 by a group of BJJ enthusiasts in New South Wales who wanted to create a platform for the growth and development of the sport in the region.
Since its establishment, AFBJJ NSW has played a significant role in the promotion of BJJ in New South Wales. The organization has organized numerous tournaments, seminars, and training camps to help BJJ practitioners improve their skills and compete at the highest level. Today, AFBJJ NSW is affiliated with the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), which is the governing body of BJJ worldwide. As a result, AFBJJ NSW is recognized as the official representative of IBJJF in New South Wales and is responsible for organizing IBJJF-sanctioned events in the region.
