What began as a pursuit of striking quickly evolved into a deeper passion after being introduced to the technical and strategic world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Inspired by its philosophy, discipline, and effectiveness, he committed himself fully to mastering the art. Under the guidance of Ninos Dammo at Australian Elite Team, Professor Bekai developed a strong foundation built on precision, resilience, and high level competition standards. His dedication to continuous growth and technical excellence has shaped him into a respected leader, coach, and representative of the sport.

Through years of disciplined training and relentless dedication, Professor Jihad Bekai earned his Black Belt in 2017. That same year marked a defining moment in his career, as he secured the number one ranking in the AFBJJ Masters division, cementing his place among the elite in the Australian grappling scene.
